Tango dance every Friday

The Argentine Tango Club has a new dance studio, New Orleans Dance Academy, which is
located at 5956 Magazine St (and State), next to Reginelli's.

The club welcomes anyone, with or without a partner, who would like to learn, practice, or just see Argentine tango. The advanced/intermediate classes meet at 7 p.m. sharp every Friday night. The beginners' class follows (with the advanced dancers helping the beginners) at 8 p.m. sharp. All classes are taught by Maria Elena and Enrique LaMotta.

General dancing is from 9-11. Dress is casual or dressy, but please be sure to wear shoes with smooth soles (not rubber soles or tennis shoes). Ladies should avoid open heels and shoes that will easily fall off.

Classes cost $10 per person, which includes the dance from 9-11. To come and dance from 9-11 without taking class costs $5. There is no charge just for watching.
